Geist Blood Orange IPA

Export beers are brewed to high alcohol strength. This pale lager, also called Dortmunder Export, is noticeably malty with notes of light floral hops and gentle lingering bitterness. 

The most noteworthy in the current barrel series, this wood-aged beer matured for five months in whisky casks, carries the unique Scottish highland peat character. The malt spirit from the previous barrel fill has contributed to the distinctive flavours, without being overpowering. Blended with a splash of Geist's classic stout to open up the cask notes and accentuate the roasted grain flavour, this edition brings a range of phenols from the peat smoke, with a lingering alcohol finish.

Geist Barrel-Aged Stout received seven months maturation in bourbon casks. The batch was blended with a touch of Geist Stouter Space and left for further maturation, giving it a silky mouthfeel. Notes of whisky in the forefront and noticeable alcohol, this beer is characterised by a distinctive taste of Maraschino Cherries, laced with chocolate reminiscent of Ferrero Rocher, all in excellent balance.

With notes of grapefruit and tangerine accompanied by the most peculiar nuttiness, Geist Six Decades APA boasts the smoothest, most drinkable "IPA" without being an IPA at all. The Lotus™ hops shine through the beer, and augment the nutty notes that linger after a worthy sip. Even with its beautifully balanced haziness, it's rare to find a beer so robust and complex that goes down as easily as this one.

Geist Repeat is a top-fermented premium lager that draws inspiration from the traditional German Kölsch. We took an ale and brewed it like a lager to give you the best of both worlds. The Geist Repeat is pale golden in colour with a refreshingly light palate, delicate mouthfeel and faint fruity aroma.

In keeping with Belgian Witbier traditions, the Geist Witty Wit, is brewed with orange zest and coriander. Incredibly refreshing with a notable wheat flavour and tartness from the grain profile, it pours hazy whitish-yellow with an impressive creamy head. Light in mouthfeel but flavourful, with a pleasant hop aroma and a harmonious balance of soft spice, fruit and malt.

Hazy and amber-brown, the Geist Uncle Dunkel, a German-style dark wheat beer, is full-bodied and effervescent with a tasty flavour profile packed with bready malt character, hints of chocolate, caramel and nuttiness along with the yeast derived banana and clove creating the aroma. Mild wheat flavour with low hop bitterness.

The Geist James Blond, a Belgian-Style Strong Blond Ale is pale in colour & medium-bodied, with a smooth finish. Unfiltered, it is lightly sweet with a fruity character and mild spicy notes, balanced by a noble hop bitterness.

The Geist Kamacitra, an American-Style India Pale Ale, is deep orange in colour and visually appealing with a pleasant hoppy bitterness. Crafted to be deliciously smooth and flavourful, this IPA features citrus and tropical fruit hop characteristics. Driven by hops aroma and flavour, the mild bready-biscuity malt character gives this brew the depth and balance.

A Bavarian-style Weissbier, the Geist Weiss Guy is intense yellow and displays the classic cloudiness expected of the style. With low bitterness and lively carbonation, the wheat provides a chewy backbone to this beer, accentuated by the distinctive flavours provided by the yeast. The aroma and flavours are dominated by bready notes, a touch of banana and some clove to add a pleasant spiciness.

The Geist Rauch-a-Fella, a smoked wheat beer, inspired by the famous Smoke Beers of Bamberg, is sure to bring on an appetising smoke experience. This hazy, light amber ale, is brewed with Bavarian beechwood smoked barley malt and traditional wheat malt. The distinctive smoke flavour, the toasty malt character and classic Weissbier yeast aromatics, make it a true Rauchweizen.

Bursting with fruity complexity and winey richness, Geist Barrel-Aged Stout for the festive season was aged for eleven months in bourbon casks, resulting in extra layers of dried fruit, oak and caramel tones. With the barrel aromatics providing a nice base and the velvety-smooth mouthfeel amplifying the delicious flavours of Christmas spice, this beer with robust alcohol notes is a very limited release in our Barrel series, after the angel's fair share.

Aged in bourbon barrels for seven months, the Geist Barrel-Aged Stout takes on notes of chocolate, vanilla and plum along with a light woodiness. With the barrel character coming through as the beer warms, this deceptively smooth beer has layers of dark raisin, pepper and liqourice balanced with whisky notes and a strong presence of alcohol.

Geist Tropical IPA is hazy with bright fruity aromas and a great mix of tropical hop flavours. Built on the Geist Kamacitra base, this beer has a perception of a lighter body and mouthfeel, with a supporting malt profile.

Geist Lager Than Life pours deep gold and is clean in its expression with the rich malt character making this lager a pleasant contrast to the many hop-driven styles in the craft beer space. The hop flavour is restrained but the hop bitterness provides an appropriate balance to the flavours of luscious Munich malt.

Geist Show Me The Honey is a wheat ale refermented with Multifloral Honey from the Moonshine Honey Project. It's a product of bees feeding on a variety of flora. The beer pours light gold with hints of banana and throws off huge honey flavours without being cloyingly sweet or winey. Heat was not applied to the honey during the refermentation process to preserve its purity and nutritional properties. The yeast blend feasting on the honey, has produced a flavourful beer with a lingering honey character and a dry finish.

The Geist Picket Fence IPA, a White Beer-India Pale Ale hybrid, pours pale yellow, featuring an experimental hop variety, HBC 586. With a spectrum of fruity flavours and a fine, restrained bitterness to support the refreshing witbier grain profile, this wheat ale also has notes of gentle spice, lemon and tangerine

The Geist Silly Pint is a straw coloured, effervescent India Pale Lager with delicate notes of tropical fruits and floral botanicals. Brewed to session-strength, this delightfully light-bodied American-Style IPL is flavourful with a citrusy character and pleasant hops bitterness that lingers into the finish.

The Geist Citrus Lager is a light-bodied cold fermented beer, pale yellow in appearance with a blast of fresh citrus. An extended lagering, dry finish and light carbonation, make this a perfect refresher.

The Geist Passion Fruit Chilli Ale is a hazy yellow, fruity sweet ale with subtle aromas of fresh chilli and notes of tropical fruit. This beer is infused with locally sourced Passion Fruit and the mild chilli heat adds an interesting dimension to the sweet finish.

The Geist Golden Ale #1 is dark yellow in colour and has a light malty profile, balanced out by our blend of hop varietals. This easy drinking refreshing ale is light bodied with a subtle fruitiness and delicate hop aroma.

The Geist Kala Namak Jamun Ale pours hazy rose gold with lots of fruit in the aroma and a light mouth pucker. This sessionable beer, infused with Jamun (a purple-hued seasonal fruit), is perfect for a summer day. The bright all-natural fruit flavour and nicely balanced sweetness, tartness and saltiness, make this beer appealing to many.

The Geist Stratosphere Lager -- a limited release craft lager brewed by the Bangalore collective #LadiesWhoLager -- is straw yellow in colour with a soft mouthfeel, showcasing “Strata” hops. The simple malt profile and lager fermentation provide a clean canvas for the hops to shine in this adjunct beer featuring “Aralu”, Karnataka’s local popped rice. This exceptionally balanced beer has distinct and complex hop aromas and flavours of tropical fruit, stone fruit combined with floral characters and a wisp of berries. This broad depth of flavours, medium conditioning and the light alcohol warmth will delight most drinkers.

The Geist Tropical Ale is subtly sweet with lush passion fruit and guava characters, enhanced by a mild tartness. The pour reveals a straw yellow colour and the faint salt & chilli add a layer of freshness to this fruit beer.

The seven-month long cask aging of our special edition Geist Stouter Space in bourbon barrels has brought out a fine complexity of flavours with boozy characteristics, including a whisky flavoured oak character and elegant vanilla notes. Aging in single malt whisky barrels infused this ale with dark chocolate, sweet plums and hints of liquorice, combined with a red wine-like acidity. A further month-long conditioning has given this beer a smooth taste and a notable dry finish.

Brewed in Cologne, Germany, "Kölsch" has a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) within the European Union. Its style characteristics were laid down in the "1986 Kölsch Konvention", where it is defined as a light coloured, highly fermented, hoppy, clear, top-fermented beer. Traditionally served in a 0.2-litre, cylindrical, thin-walled glass called the Stange, Kölsch Wies is unfiltered and Kölsch is filtered.⁠ ⁠ The Geist Kölsch-Style Ale is pale golden in colour with a refreshingly light palate and a delicate mouthfeel. With faint fruity aromas and lager-like characteristics, this centrifuged beer is backed by a touch of maltiness and soft bitterness.⁠

The Geist Cucumber Salt Lager, brewed with freshly sourced Cucumber and Arabian Sea Salt is a refreshing delight. Delicious and quenching, the salty element, subtle hop flavour and mild bitterness make this a good beer to seek out in the summer months.

We brewed the Geist Pre-Pro Lager in celebration of New Beer's Eve (April 6th) - a momentous day in beer history. ⁠ ⁠ In American beer history, the late 1800s belonged to adjunct-based Lagers. Glasses of cloudy beer weren't as appealing to the Americans as clear ones. As all-malt beer brewed with their protein-rich 6-row barley was a challenge, most breweries used some kind of adjunct - corn, rice, sugar - creating a uniquely new kind of beer that was drier, lighter and clearer.⁠ ⁠ The Geist Pre-Pro Lager is pale yellow in colour with a delicate depth of hop aromatics, gentle bitterness and a finely balanced profile. This 10°Balling adjunct lager presents a clean malty nose with a corn-like character and noticeable herbal hop flavour. For thirst, this lager is perfect!⁠

Brewed in collaboration with Ellerslie Hop & St. Andrews Beach Brewery. Pouring pale straw yellow, the Geist OZ LageRoo is light-bodied with a crisp lager profile, showcasing Southern Hemisphere hops. Mildly bittered, this refreshing brew exhibits a light malt character topped with mellow fruity-citrus hop notes and a dry finish.

The Geist New England-Style IPA is juicy with fresh stone fruit and lush tropical fruit flavours, highlighted by a soft and significant bitterness. Supported by a delicate malt base, this Hazy IPA pours cloudy pale yellow, showcasing the versatility of American hops and its bright hop notes. Fermentation with a flavour and aroma enhancing yeast strain, SafAle™ S-33, has given this India Pale Ale a boost.

The Geist Brett Ale is burnt orange in colour with a unique flavour profile. Tank conditioned with Brettanomyces Bruxellensis, SafBrew BR-8™, this beer is lightly tart with very low carbonation and exhibits a fascinating funk component. Bursting with tropical fruit and funky notes like barnyard, horse and leather, this Wild Ale will continue to evolve and change character over time.

Almost amber in colour, the Geist Almost Amber Ale is refreshing and lively on the palate with mild floral and citrus flavours. This beer has a light body and easy drinkability, with the moderate bitterness and subtle grassy green hop notes providing balance to the soft malt profile.

The Geist Maibock is a malt dominant lager that pours dark orange with a rich bread-like character and an assertive bitterness. With spicy and herbal notes from the noble hops, this medium bodied Helles Bock, fermented with a hybrid lager yeast strain from a novel lineage, Lalbrew NovaLager™, exhibits pleasant fruity notes with a subtle alcohol warmth that lingers into the finish.

The Geist Imperial Stout, a stouter version of the Geist Stouter Space has delicious notes of cocoa, toffee and mild coffee. Soft on the palate, the taste is a nice blend of malt character and moderate bitterness, with the smooth and velvety mouthfeel amplifying the flavours of dark chocolate and roasted grain.

The Geist Grapefruit Wheat Ale is hazy yellow with lively citrus aromas, fresh fruit sweetness and tanginess. The mild bitter and fruit character enhance the flavours of this light refreshing wheat beer.

Pouring light amber, this unique Märzen-style lager brewed with beechwood smoked barley malt, exhibits a toasty malt character balanced with mild smokiness.
